Robin has more than 25 years of management experience in biotech, life science research and medical device businesses ranging in size from $20 million to over $9 billion. He was most recently the President and CEO of Applied Imaging Corporation, a publicly-traded, specialty medical device company in the field of clinical cytogenetics and cancer diagnostics. Robin negotiated the successful sale of Applied Imaging to the UK-based Genetix Group plc. in 2006.
Prior to joining Applied Imaging, Robin spent two years at Thermo Electron Corporation, now Thermo Fisher Scientific (TFS), as a General Manager. With annual revenues of over $9.0 billion, TFS's products target multiple markets, including life science research, drug discovery and development, environmental testing, bio-defense and clinical diagnostics.
Prior to TFS, Robin was a Corporate Vice President and General Manager at Dade Behring Inc., at the time the world's largest company dedicated exclusively to serving the needs of clinical laboratories. Dade Behring was acquired by Siemens in November, 2007 for approximately $7 Billion. Robin's background also includes a variety of international general management, commercial marketing and strategy development positions with E.I. DuPont de Nemours.
