He is an expert in advanced polymer chemistry and a recognized leader in the field, with over 25 US patents to his name. He has developed innovative and successful products with annualized revenue in the hundreds of millions of dollars range.
Ray is the founder of Landec Corporation, (NASDAQ: LNDC), a public company that successfully developed and commercialized a new class of temperature-responsive polymers called Intellimers®™. At Landec, he led business development and all financing activities, in addition to the development of new materials and products for diverse markets including food packaging, agriculture, industrial adhesives, and medical devices.
Ray is also the CEO and co-founder of Bay Materials, LLC, an advanced materials development and manufacturing organization dedicated to serving the needs of companies in the medical device, consumer health care, and electronics industries (www.baymaterials.com).
