Cantimer is a privately–held, development–stage company commercializing a patented, proprietary, sensor technology platform based on a unique convergence of micro–electromechanical systems (MEMS) technology and advanced polymer science.

Cantimer’s technology enables the development of breakthrough detection, measurement and monitoring devices that meet market-driven needs for sensitivity, speed, ease-of-use, convenience and cost-effectiveness. Cantimer has demonstrated “proof of principle” in applying its technology to detect and measure single-stranded DNA, proteins (antigen/antibody complexes), viruses (e.g., Vaccinia), pH, electrolytes such as sodium and potassium, and substances such as ethanol, urea and glucose. Potential fields of application for Cantimer’s technology, include life science research, biodefense, environmental testing and point-of-care diagnostics.

The Company’s first commercial product will be an innovative, hand–held device for non-invasive, measurement and monitoring of human hydration status from saliva.
